With this update and redesign, the Assistent Mk.II comes now with a Russian tube with the name GU50. In Russia this tube is legendary and the best thing about it is that it has been produced in the same place with exactly the same quality each tube.
After the release of the Prometheus mono-blocks (with GU50 tubes) in 2017 and the enthusiastic response from its users, Audio Valve felt save to change the design to use GU50 and parts of the Prometheus layout in the new Assistent 100 Mk.II. The result - both, in technical and musical terms - are much more satisfying. The Assistent 100 Mk.II has the power to become a popular force. Apart from the conventional line inputs (RCA & XLR) optional a USB DAC input can be implemented which makes the Assistent 100 Mk.II a multi-talent.
