Sonus Faber Extrema Speakers with Stands
Rare, beautiful and breathtaking. It takes a few moments for the visual drama to make sense but very soon, one is consumed by these stunning creations. After 30 years, Extrema still looks every bit the legend it has become. Hooked up to a high quality amplifier of at least 100wpc or more - think Audio Research or Krell as a guide.
Superb imaging, outstanding mid-range and a low-end you will struggle to comprehend.
Impeccable build quality. The dedicated stands are seriously loaded and heavy. At least 40kg each.
This pair come in very good condition and full working order.
The Good bits:
The Extremas look fabulous with no visible scars when in situ. The drive units are all excellent, those precious Esotar tweeters are unmarked. The ABR drivers are all clean and top notch. The dedicated stands are surprisingly unmarked. Both grill covers are excellent.
The Extremas come with brand new custom crates.
The Bad bits: (see photos)
On close inspection, one speaker has sustained a chip aprox one inch long on the top rail which has at some point been touched in. On the right-hand side of the same speaker there are five marks/scratches (touched in) these are shown in the photos.
It would not take much to make these perfect and a good furniture repair shop should be able to correct these.
The price is firm and reflects the issues pointed out. We do take trade-ins but you need to conatct the Kent branch direct for this.
